Wichita, Kan., July 13, 1999 – The MetaStore Storage Solutions Division of LSI Logic Storage Systems, Inc. announced enhanced features to its intelligent storage hub family of network-attached storage systems. Enhanced access control list (ACL) support enables system administrators to set user-level file and directory permissions from a single graphical user interface screen for all UNIX and NT platforms, thereby consolidating and simplifying the entire process. With NT log-on, users can create a domain without a Windows NT server acting as a domain controller. Recently built into the JetWorks Plus operating environment, these new features further simplify UNIX administration and increase NT data security.

A fully integrated system, the MetaStore intelligent storage hub is first to market a full complement of features that customers require including multi- protocol support combined with a high-performance file system, complete backup solution and enterprise-level storage management, all in a proven operating environment.
