Business Objects, a provider of business intelligence solutions, introduced several targeted BI solutions for the communications industry. These solutions are designed to enable communications companies to innovate throughout their business by improving the effectiveness of campaigns through deep personalization, speeding the introduction of new value-added services, and improving customer recruitment and cross-selling.

Exsys Corvid, a systems software development tool, has been significantly enhanced with new multilanguage features and an improved interactive user interface. Corvid, Exsys Inc.'s flagship product, is a powerful, easy-to-learn general-purpose development environment for building any type of expert system project. Common application areas include quality control, customer relationship management (CRM), human resources, data analysis, compliance, research, sales and marketing and e-commerce.

Fair Isaac Corporation, a provider of analytics and decision management technology, announced the release of Falcon One for Online Access, a real-time, multifactor authentication solution that uses fraud analytics to provide maximum online fraud detection with minimal customer impact. Falcon One provides neural network-based transaction monitoring capability that learns customer behavior patterns and recognizes suspicious transactions.

Hitachi Data Systems, provider of application optimized storage solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., entered the "active archive" market by unveiling its digital archiving solution, the Hitachi Content Archive Platform. Where first generation content-addressed storage solutions failed to deliver open standards based interfaces, seamless scalability and enterprise class levels of data protection, this solution addresses these long-standing issues.

IBM revealed the next-generation DB2 9 data server - code named "Viper." The DB2 9 project transformed traditional, static database technology into an interactive, vibrant data server that enables clients to improve their ability to manage all types of information, such as documents, audio and video files, images, Web pages, and digitally signed XML transactions. IBM's new data server provides seamless and simultaneous information flow of XML and relational data, regardless of format, platform or location.

Integrify Software, Inc., a provider of Web-based request and approval management software, announced the availability of Integrify 4.0 to further improve and enhance the business process management solution it provides to its customers. The latest Integrify software release offers increased flexibility in process management, including enhanced forms management, more accessible reporting, easier-to-manage user interfaces and improved security, integration and system administration features.

iPartners added an ad hoc reporting feature called iControl to the iPartners Insurance Scorecard. The Scorecard is a Web-based performance management system that helps managers in mid-sized property casualty insurance companies view and analyze all of the data they need to maximize profitability. With the new iControl module, users can create reports on the fly by defining rows and columns, building or modifying calculations, and establishing parameters and setting alarms.

MapInfo Corporation, a provider of location intelligence solutions, launched Traffic Counts, a predictive analytics dataset of vital traffic volume intelligence for retail, government and property industries. MapInfo Traffic Counts provides location planners across many industry sectors with a unique data set of vehicle traffic measured by the Department for Transport. This analytics tool provides site planners with a significant advantage in assessing likely volumes of consumers traveling to or past a location.

TrueAdvantage announced the availability of TrueAdvantage 4.0, its new lead generation system. The subscription-based solution leverages TrueAdvantage's unique SmartTrigger technology to automatically mine the Internet and more than 20,000 business information sources, structure that information and filter it to deliver qualified leads to the salesperson at the earliest possible point in a prospect's buying cycle. All new functionality is fully integrated with Salesforce CRM and CRM OnDemand (from Oracle, formerly Siebel).
