November 10, 2008 - Spectrum Health selected InterSystems Ensemble software for integration initiatives across the entire enterprise.
Based on extensive evaluation of integration software products, Spectrum Health chose Ensemble as its core integration platform.
"Our vision is to be the nations highest quality and most successful health care enterprise by 2010," said Kim Gordon, integration solutions manager at Spectrum Health. "Ensemble is a key component of the IT strategy we're executing in order to reach that objective.
"We want to do a lot more than the HL7 messaging and Web services that we've implemented so far," Gordon explained. "Plans are to move to more of a services-oriented architecture (SOA) approach and to create a federated software environment that enables each of our analysts and business partners to create individually tailored business rules. Rather than just writing basic interfaces, we want to create solutions and we want to create them very rapidly. Having this technology in place will enable us to become more agile and that will be a catalyst to our success in the future, she continued.
Ensemble provides the capabilities needed to enable the organization's IT strategy along with a rapid development and deployment environment that supports achieving results in a compressed timeframe.
