Basis Technology Corporation unveiled the latest generation of the company’s widely-used linguistics platform, Rosette 7. With expanded language coverage, improved entity extraction accuracy, new name matching and translation modules, and native integration with Apache Lucene/Solr, Rosette 7 enables global enterprises, financial institutions, content providers and intelligence agencies to quickly and accurately identify, analyze, search and extract meaning from unstructured text in over twenty major languages.

Centrifuge Systems, Inc. announced the availability of Centrifuge 1.8, the latest version of its data visualization technology.The Centrifuge approach to data visualization brings together three analysis components: interactive data visualization, unified data views and collaborative analysis to identify important insights and hidden patterns in your data. Centrifuge 1.8 includes several enhancements in the area of interactive data visualization. Within charting, users can create drill charts that include many categories and measures. They can drill down to see deeper segmentation of the data. Bubble charting has also been added. Users can interact with the displays to filter the data, create new data fields and spin-off data as they uncover insights hidden in the data. One of the most powerful functions in this new release is the ability to integrate data on demand.

ColdSpark, a BakBone Software company, announced a new managed service offering for on-demand email delivery. The latest in ColdSpark's managed services portfolio, this service offering is based upon the same delivery technology used at major financial services organizations. The new service provides a turn-key platform for high-performance, outbound email delivery and the flexibility to grow and expand as requirements change. Customers can reduce hardware and bandwidth utilization to reduce technology costs and resource limitations. Advanced traffic analytics provide real-time feedback and management of email communications.

dtSearch Corp. announced a new release of its enterprise and developer product line, including the dtSearch Engine. The dtSearch Engine for Win & .NET (32-bit & 64-bit) and the dtSearch Engine for Linux (32-bit & 64-bit) lets developers add instant text searching and built-in file format and other data support to a wide range of Internet, Intranet and other commercial applications.

Information Builders announced the availability of Performance Management Framework 5.2, a comprehensive and customizable application suite for measuring and executing business strategies. This latest release allows users to better manage business performance and strategy through custom, personalized dashboards, as well as the ability to integrate with Web 2.0 gadgets and other critical corporate performance management applications.

NetIQ Corporation announced the extension of NetIQ Aegis to VMware environments. By extending IT process automation and delivering integrated virtual-physical management and control, NetIQ Aegis helps organizations mitigate the risks of operational cost overruns, while enforcing consistency between virtual and physical management processes.

Oracle announced the availability of Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center. Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center is the newest addition in the Oracle Enterprise Manager family and brings capabilities for managing physical and virtual Sun environments. Also introduced is the Oracle Enterprise Manager Management Connector for Ops Center which provides Oracle Enterprise Manager customers with visibility into underlying Sun servers, Oracle Solaris and associated virtualization, helping them to resolve issues that could impact application, middleware and database service levels.

Precise announced Precise 8.7, a fully automated transaction performance management product for SAP. The new release provides a single pane of glass view for all SAP performance data, via role-specific dashboards and expert screens. The new release spans all of SAP’s key modules, technologies and IT infrastructure including SAP NetWeaver Portal, SAP Business Information Warehouse, SAP ECC, J2EE, ABAP, database and storage. The new Precise product includes: automated transaction breakdown from portal, through ECC, to database and storage; automated correlation of complete SAP Business Information Warehouse ETL process chains; and automated problem root cause finding across SAP and non-SAP applications.

Progress Software Corporation announced the launch of the Progress Responsive Process Management suite. The suite, which unifies comprehensive visibility, business event processing and business process management capabilities on a single platform, will be generally available in late April. The Progress RPM suite provides key functionality that enables continuous business improvement in three specific ways: the Progress RPM suite is a human-centric platform providing business users with real-time visibility into business processes and systems, including legacy processes both inside and outside the business; it includes comprehensive business process modeling and automation capabilities; and the suite continuously monitors millions of events impacting a business in order to identify patterns as well as anticipate opportunities and threats.

Rapid Insight Inc. announced the launch of a new software technology for working with data. Veera, available as a release candidate since January, is the next generation of Rapid Insight business intelligence software. Building upon an earlier Rapid Insight product, Data Integration 2.0, Veera’s drag-and-drop analytic process builder enables users of all abilities to quickly produce reports and create analytic datasets by merging, aggregating, cleansing and transforming data from formats as disparate as Excel, Access, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and text.

Rosslyn Analytics announced the launch of a new suite of prebuilt module applications that accelerate decision-making within an enterprise using a free self service business intelligence platform, Rapidintel. Rapidintel, a Web-based automated spend analytics platform, is a strategic spend analysis tool. Business users upload their company’s spend data into the platform which then automatically generates slice and dice analytical reports in minutes.
