Aspera unveiled version 3.1 of its high-speed transfer products: Enterprise Server, Connect Server, Point-to-Point Client and Desktop Client. New capabilities for this product line include high-speed direct-to-cloud transfer for Microsoft Azure and Azure Blob storage; Windows 8 compatibility; and a3 transfer binary. Aspera Connect 3.1 also now supports simplified Chinese, Japanese, French and Spanish. Aspera faspSDK 3.1 includes enhancements to faspmanager SDK, Aspera Stats Collector and Node API.

Connotate announced updates to its namesake Web data monitoring and extraction solution. New features include change detection alerts and highlighting, improved subscription management, and real-time receipt and verification of extracted data.

Deltek announced the general availability of its ERP system for CPA Firms. Deltek Maconomy Public Accounting Solution features a streamlined billing console, paper-based and/or paperless billing workflows, and management reports and dashboards. (For more on this release, click here.)

Hortonworks announced Hortonworks Data Platform v1.2, its open source platform powered by Apache Hadoop. The release features the latest version of Apache Ambari, secure access to Hive tables, an ODBC connector from Simba and HBase 0.94.2.

Jitterbit released the latest version of its namesake data and application integration software. Available on-premise or in the cloud, Jitterbug 5.0 features connectivity to salesforce.com, SAP and Microsoft Dynamics, support for cloud APIs and codeless configuration. 

LogiXML announced the latest release of its BI platform for embedded analytics. Logi Info v11 features new data visualizations, an ActiveSQL data layer and a new API.

NuoDB announced the general availability of its elastically scalable SQL/ACID cloud data management system. Starlings 1.0 features reduced database administration and the promised absence of partitioning and clustering, as well as cloud-services like vendor-backed performance testing. ObjectRocket launched its scalable MongoDB database as a service. Its namesake offering operates on AWS Direct Connect and includes a range of scaling tiers. Software components include RocketScale, for rapid scaling; QueryGuard, which automatically detects long running queries; and RocketSecure, which provides encrypted connections and IP-based access control. 

OpenText unveiled OpenText Report and Output Managements solutions for mainframes. Available to users of OpenText Content Server, OpenText eDOCS and Microsoft SharePoint, the offering enables capture and storage of information from applications such as Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft and SAP, as well as from custom, mainframe and legacy applications. 

Oracle released Oracle Infrastructure as a Service. The on-premise, private cloud service delivers Oracle Exadata, Exalogic, Exalytics, SPARC Super Cluster and Sun ZFS Storage Appliance for a monthly fee; enables users to adjust processing capacity on-demand; and includes Oracle PlatinumPlus Service, which provides quarterly security and systems analysis. 

Solix Technologies announced the general availability of Solix Enterprise Data Management Suite 6.0. The latest generation includes: data migration strategy for retiring legacy applications; retention management and legal hold capabilities; and integration with various platforms, including Hitachi Content Platform, Oracle TimesTen, SAP Sybase IQ and SAP Sybase ASE.

Sophos unveiled Sophos EndUser Protection, a security solution for enterprise mobile devices. Features include secure access to company data and email, app management, remote locking and user management.

X-IO unveiled ISE Station XL, its latest enterprise-grade storage solution. The solution offers 1 petabyte of capacity, over 1 million IOPS and built-in support for virtualization engines.
