Amazon Web Services announced the availability of High Storage Instances, an Amazon EC2 instance type for applications that require access to large amounts of data. The cloud-based High Storage Instances are available with 35 EC2 Compute Units, 117 GiB of memory and 48T of storage across 24 hard disk drives.

Archive Systems unveiled the latest edition of its records management software suite. OmniRIM Records Center includes import templates, online video tutorials and space management for records centers.

ICONNECT Development announced the addition of Advanced Analytics functionality to the iCONNECT XERA Review Platform, its eDiscovery review platform. Added features include embedded analytics, intelligent batching and its Xmplar “Custom Find Similar” technology, which enables collaborative creation of a customized “perfect document” to act as a model. 

Nixu Software, in partnership with NetIQ, announced a joint cloud solution for managed service providers. Leveraging Nixu Cloud IP Suite and NETIQ Cloud Manager, the solution automates application deployment, provides a single platform for managing workloads in the cloud, and automates release parameter provisioning. 

OpenERP released the latest version of its namesake solution. Available for onsite deployment or through OpenERP’s SaaS platform, OpenERP 7.0 includes business application integration, an updated user interface (including touchscreen POS, an integrated customer portal and fleet management apps) and email alerts.

SAP announced three updates to its products line. The updated version of SAP BusinessObjects Mobile includes geo-spatial and location analytics, text annotation, iPad compatibility and access to SAP BI products, including SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, SAP BusinessObjects Dashboard, SAP Crystal Reports and SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio. Now also available, SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio enables user to build interactive, custom visualizations with drill-downs, filters and gauges. The latest version of SAP Afaria, its mobile device management solution, includes directory integration, PKI certification management and self-service portals. 

Splunk announced software developments kits for Java and Python. Built on a fully documented and supported REST API, these SDKs allow users to build big data applications, utilize standard programming languages and integrate Splunk data with other applications.
