Birst announced the release of Birst Express, its cloud-based analytics tool. This release includes a connector to salesforce.com, perform analytics across sources like Microsoft Excel and Access, salesforce.com, as well as mobile device accessibility. 

Business Intelligence Associates unveiled the latest edition of TotalDiscovery.com, its SaaS eDiscovery solution. The update enables connections to enterprise systems, using full or partial information, have multiple holds per matter, as well as allows administrators to have a global overview of active legal holds.

CorPeuM International released CorPeuM 1.0, its CPM application. The app controls what users can see or do, as well as defines the language in which they communicate in, alleviating confusion between English and American users. The app also features a reporting tool that allows users to combine charts, grids and text into reporting books that can be run as a single action.

Hatsize released the latest addition of its flagship product. Hatsize 3.14 includes a Web service API, cloud-automated training capabilities and internationalization support through UTF-8.

Kognito released the latest version of its analytical platform. New features to Kognito 8.0p include the ability to call upon scripts via external environments, direct linking to data embedded in Apache Hadoop, as well as functionality with Hadoop’s distributed file system.

KXEN launched Cloud Prediction, its cloud-based predictive analytics for salesforce.com, as well as the first app on Cloud Prediction, Predictive Lead Scoring. Cloud Prediction, available on a subscription basis, analyzes CRM and social profiling data to garner insight about customers. Predictive Lead Scoring enables enterprise to analyze a lead’s likelihood to turn into an actual sale. 

MuleSoft unveiled Dataloader.io, its cloud-based data loader app for salesforce.com. Built on the CloudHub integration PaaS, the app imports, exports and deletes data into the SaaS applications.

Nixu Software announced Nixu Cloud IP Suites, its solution for release parameter provision, which automates steps for cloud application release. The solution features Nixu NameSurfer, an IP address management solution, multi-vendor support and open architecture.

Panasas introduced ActiveStor 14, its parallel storage solution. The solution leverages enterprise SATA drives, as well as SSD technology, providing more than 8 petabytes of storage in a ActiveStor shelf

Raqsoft released esProc, its latest data computation and analytics software. This desktop-based release utilizes OLAP tools to analyze data, without any SQL knowledge, and can import data from Excel files.

At its annual Dreamforce conference, Salesforce.com made a number of announcements. It unveiled Force.com Canvas, an addition to the Force.com cloud platform for building and running social, mobile and real-time employee apps. Force.com Canvas allows users to utilize existing Web applications through salesforce.com UI. This open source suite features JavaScript SDK and programming language independence. In addition, salesforce.com, announced Salesforce Chatterbox, described as “the Dropbox for the enterprise.” Users are able to manage and share files (up to 2GB) in any salesforce.com apps, either from desktops or on their mobile devices.
