EMC released its Storage Resource Management Suite, an application-to-storage service level management solution for cloud environments. This offering combines EMC ProSphere, EMC Storage Configuration Advisor and EMC Watch4net, offering real-time reporting, service-level compliance, FAST VP optimization and storage service alignment.
GoldenSource launched its dashboard and data visualization solution, GoldenSource Insight. This graphical dashboard solution integrates data quality and data operations in one place, either on a desktop or mobile device.
IBM unveiled its latest mainframe, zEnterprise EC12, which expands on its cloud-oriented approach. This hardware showcases Crypto Express 4S digital signature cryptography and EAL 5+ certification, as well as IMB zAware. Jaspersoft launched Jaspersoft 4.1, the latest version of its open source BI suite. The update includes expanded mobile access for Android and iOS, real-time reporting for MongoDB and reporting capabilities provided by Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.
KANA launched KANA Express, its customer service solution for mid-sized business. This offering provides end-to-end customer service and interaction management via SaaS and support for communication systems, such as IVR, ACD, CTI and CRM, as well as ERP systems, all in a SAS 70 certified data center.
MaaS360 unveiled MaaS360 Mobile Device Management by Fiberlink, its solution for SMBs. Delivered as a cloud-based service, this offering allows enterprises to securely manage corporate and personal devices, distribute mobile applications and share documents.
OpenText introduced OpenText Tempo Express, an enterprise-level information management legal solution. This offering combines OpenText DM with the cloud-based OpenText Tempo, allowing legal staff and their clients to securely access sensitive information from any mobile device.
SafeNet, in partnership with NetApp, launched StorageSecure, a network attached storage solution that encrypts data granularly over the network. StorageSecure offers data governance and security for data at rest and also segregates data stored in NAS environments.
Western Digital released My Book VelociRaptor Duo, a dual-drive storage system. With two 1TB 10,000 RPM WD VelociRaptor drives and two Thunderbolt ports, this system offers RAID 0 for performance or RAID 1 for protection, as well as a JBOD option.
