Adobe Systems launched new predictive marketing capabilities in its Adobe Digital Marketing Suite. Aimed at finding patterns in large volumes of structured and unstructured data, the new release includes features to change key metrics in what-if scenarios; anticipate campaign results across search, social and display; and identify data indicators and customer interactions.

Cormant released CableSolve version 6.3, its solution for data center IT infrastructure management. The latest generation of the software features Web-based tablet support, and a revamped interface that enables additional documentation, reporting and monitoring of the physical layer.

DataDirect Networks announced the availability of a duo of new big data appliances. New are: SFA10K-M, a high-speed block storage appliance with InfiniBand or Fibre Channel connection and configuration up to 10GB/s in 20U and support up to 720 terabytes; and SFA10K-ME, featuring DDN’s In-Storage Processing and virtualization to co-locate nearby data, along with configuration beyond 1 terabyte and volume capacity beyond 10 petabytes.

GrapeCity unveiled the latest version of its Web-based self-service reporting solution. ActiveReports Server 1.3 features the use of visual formulas, page headers, and page footers for its ad hoc report designer, as well as support for SaaS deployments and LDAP for users of Microsoft Windows Active Directory and other compatible directories.

GridGain updated its namesake open source platform for big data processing. GridGain 4.0 software includes: native lightweight clients for Java, .NET, Python, PHP and C++, as well as mobile platforms iOS and Android; the introduction of a monitoring and management console; and a public cloud deployment and provision feature.

MapR Technologies Inc. announced a set of data connection options for big data framework Hadoop. New connections include direct file-based access using standard tools and file-based applications, direct database connectivity, Hadoop-specific connectors via Sqoop, Flume and Hive, and direct access to data warehouses and applications using custom connectors.

Puppet Labs announce the general availability of Puppet Enterprise 2.5. The latest generation enables system administrators to automate management of IT environments for Windows, Linux and Unix systems, and also includes 250 prebuilt configurations and facilitation for DevOps.

SAS has unveiled a new in-memory analytic platform designed for scalability and very fast performance on standard blade architecture. SAS Visual Analytics a virtual environment created on the fly from many pipes of data, not an in-memory database, but data loaded into memory that, in non-relational form, doesn't require the structure of cubes. Commands arrive via a user's browser and a server that formulates the question and sends it to software that controls the data and divides the work across all the CPUs.
