CA Technologies made a trio of releases. CA ERwin Data Modeler for SQL Azure enables integration and management in Microsoft’s cloud environment. There, the data modeler provides visualizations, data structure management and business definitions for on-premise and cloud databases in a single area. A second new release is CA ERwin Web Portal, an interface for data architects to build and analyze data model so that other business and IT users also have access. CA has also updated its ERwin Data Modeler r8.2, featuring more granular use of model objects like tables and domains, support re-use and object sharing and availability of concurrent licensing agreements.

Catbird put out the latest generation of its virtualized and cloud security and compliance offering. New or enhanced features in vSecurity 5.0 include: Event Viewer, a display of data pulled from various controls; Compliance Radar Graph, a graphical gauge of data center compliance; an automated asset inventory; and illustrated network flow mapping.

CloudPassage unveiled Halo NetSec, an automated solution for network access control with public cloud servers. Halo NetSec includes centralized, host-based firewall management and protection for an unlimited number of servers, a REST API for integration with other systems, and its multi-factor authentication feature, GhostPorts.

Flexera Software updated the BI functionality to its latest release of FlexNet Manager Suite for Enterprises. New to the application usage management solution are predictive analysis for financial and license compliance with hardware and/or software changes, as well as new reporting capabilities like trend analysis.

iJento released the latest versions of its analytics data mart and intelligence tools. iJento 2012 Datamart is highlighted by expanded capabilities to incorporate online consumer behavioral data and offline channel data for a single SQL Server data store. The iJento 2012 Intelligence suite features new or updated capabilities to query, visualize, report and analyze multi-channel and multi-device data.

ManageEngine released Applications Manager 10.2, the latest generation of its performance monitoring software package. The updated release features added unified monitoring support to Oracle JRockit and IBM Java Virtual Machine as well as free software technical support.

Salesforce.com released Desk.com, a “social help desk” that integrates messages, mentions and requests from Facebook and Twitter in an interface similar to a traditional email inbox. The SaaS platform includes access and collaborative notes that can be shared across enterprise departments and users. SOS Online Backup unveiled SOS Collaborative Private Cloud. Features in the private cloud include desktop synchronization, mobile file access and sharing, open source plug-ins, and flexible administrative controls and deployment options.

TIBCO Software Inc. updated its enterprise social platform. tibbr 3.5 includes new geolocation data tagging and integration feature as well as mobile applications that support HTML 5.

VAI and Agile Network partnered on a streamlined global shipping solution. AgileShip Supply Chain is a multiple carrier and location worldwide shipping solution that automates the fulfillment process, has connections with major and regional carriers, and integrates shipping, auditing and compliance services.
