NATO Selects MEGA Architectural Framework Offering

MEGA announced plans to offer a new adaptation of the MEGA Modeling Suite to support the NATO Architecture Framework. The NAF provides standardized guidance, rule and product descriptions for developing, presenting and communicating architectures for communications and IT systems. NATO’s complex programs require a structured, standardized approach through architectural frameworks. NATO’s challenges, such as the increased need for the NATO Response Force, put very high demands on information and communications technology.

The NAF ensures a common understanding to compare and integrate architectures within NATO. Its primary use is for development of large-scale defense and security systems where multiple contractors contribute specialized components that must be integrated into a single system. The NAF helps optimize processes, improve the use and deployment of resources and contribute to better decision-making to insure successful NATO programs.
