Bayesian/causal modeling is clearly the next frontier in risk management. I encountered Borison and Hamm's article after reading Christina Ray's book 'Extreme Risk Management' (McGraw Hill, 2010), which I would also highly recommend as a superb resource on this emerging field of study.
