Modulus Acquisition Marks Progress for Node.js

Progress announced today its “next generation” development platform in the acquisition of Modulus, the dPaaS provider of highly-scalable Cloud development solutions. Modulus, a very small company with 5 employees and 450 customers, provides a platform for Node.js JavaScript solutions and MongoDB databases. Modulus will continue as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Progress and will most likely receive considerable investment to enable its expansion and growth. In addition to Modulus solutions in the Cloud, Progress will offer its customers licensing for private Clouds.
