In building a SaaS BI tool, we've had very good success creating an over Data Quality score for our customers. We calculate the score based on the pieces of data that are critical to executing core analyses and managing their business.

Our customers tend to improve their score after adopting the tool, get better analysis done and generally like our product more as a result. It's a win-win. Here's a broader description of the product, for context: http://www.insightsquared.com/connectors/salesforce-reporting/
